Make sure you download the correct version.
If you have the BOOM Box 4.3 Infotainment system, you should download the "Standard Radio" file.
If you have the BOOM Box 6.5GT Infotainment system, you should download the "Premium Radio" file.
If you're using the correct download, make sure you can see the swdl_boombox_6.5GT.iso or corresponding 4.3 file. If you can't see this in your USB thumb drive, it won't work.
If you're using the correct download, and you can see that file in your USB thumb drive, then it should work.

You need to use the "International" update in order for it to work.
Here's the link from the GB website - you'll see a "rest of the world version" which should work:

Some think they have a AVC issue, such as myself till I learned..... When I removed my amps and added an aftermarket amp which many have done, the radio is flashed for an amp to get rid of the DSP, the AVC no longer resides in the radio it resided in the AMP.. Hence the fact it no longer functions...

Yup, that's exactly the problem.
You need to use the "International" update in order for it to work.
Here's the link from the GB website - you'll see a "rest of the world version" which should work:
