Start bike, choose, Artist and then an Album. Plays fine. Shut the bike off and the song that was playing resumes. Next song, some random song on the thumb drive.

Also, next track, last track. does not work.

Hope the next update works better. HK, your software engineers and regression testing suck *****.

Default Update Sucks

I call b s to the day/night transition being faster. In fact, I now have to hold my hand over the sensor for the radio/gauge lights to dim properly. Really a pita.

If you don't want it to do that, turn "Shuffle" off.
Select Home, Media, Menu and uncheck "Shuffle".

Again, a setting you can control.
Select Home, Media, Menu and make sure it says SEEK ,not PRESET.

Most of the complaints users are having, can all be corrected by making some setting changes.

And reading the Boom manual!

I get it, I'm typically one of those guys that think they don't need instructions. (I used to call them, the jokes) . I have come to realize that a lot of the newer technology really requires the use of the instructions. Suck it up, take it on the chin and rtfm

I have mostly positive things to say about the new update. I had the same issue with the moving songs track to track but was able to fix it by making sure seek was set. No big deal.

I did see one issue though and I can't figure it out. I ride in a lot of group rides and we talk on the CB quite a bit. Now, when people use the CB, my media completely locks up. It won't start for anything unless I go to menu and hit seek. Problem is, that's a pain every time, moves the tracks up a couple and if you like the song, you have to toggle back. Wouldn't be a huge deal but happens all the time. My first ride, it happened every time someone toggled their CB. The second time, it seemed to be working ok and then started doing it more frequently again. I have another friend and he said the same thing is happening to him. Maybe I'm missing a setting? Not sure but this never happened before and now happens all the time.

Thanks, I'll admit I haven't looked at the manual once. But I did check the settings while riding yesterday and shuffle was not checked. I even check and uncheck it.

You won't see a "setup" file.

The file you download has a .zip extension.
You extract (unzip/uncompress) that file into the file 2 files.

What two files do you end up with?

I just downloaded the 4.3 version and confirmed it has the correct two files.

One should have an .iso extension
The other one is just a small text file with the .txt extension.

swdl_boombox_4.3_DOM.iso
swdl_boombox_4.3_DOM.txt

The .iso file is the one you want to copy to your thumb drive

I have had to shut the bike down and restart for the joy stick on the left to advance to the next song.

I have also had a problem before and after the update where the head unit wont see any media. Could this be the thumb drive causing this problem?
I'm way behind on this subject but on mine it was the seek/scan can't remember which but after changing was able to advance music

This update has (so far) cured my biggest complaint. Now I can start the bike any way I want and the radio stays off. When I want to use it it goes back to the previous source every time (so far).
