The problem there is when you hit the starter, the stereo reboots anyways, so you are not solving any actual issue, only the ones you perceive...
I never wait, and mine is functions perfect. As soon as the fuel pump shuts down, I hit the go button.
Only problem I had in the past was stereo wanting to start on FM when I had it on iPod..
The new update seems to have solved that.

Then again, the way the rushmore systems are, they all don't seem to act exactly the same way. So who knows.

I always wait for the accept button before starting. Never had an issue since 1.7.4. If it did reboot when starting you would see the accept button again so that is not the case. Do what you want but the system works great if you just give it the time it needs. At stops, I leave the acc on so no waiting.

Not buying it.
I have never once waited for the accept screen.
Not sure why or who started that myth.
Step 1: Turn ignition to on
Step 2: Hit start button
Step 3: Get on and ride off
Within a few seconds the accept screen pops up, and you just push the right joy stick button in, which functions as "accept".
Absolutely no need to sit and wait for the boom system to completely boot up.

On my buddy's bike the joystick won't work if he doesn't let it boot up.
If I let it do the the full boot sequence it works fine.

It's no myth. If yours works without waiting for the compete boot sequence consider yourself lucky. If I don't wait, it comes on in weather band or AM radio - neither of which I ever use and it comes on LOUD. It does that whether it was turned off before I shut off the bike or not and it doesn't matter what media I was using when I shut it down. That's only one of the issues.

No wait, I have read it. Several times and I'm pretty tech savvy, my job demands it.
My humblest apologies to you RollaMo for pointing out a flaw in a product from the MoCo. I now realize we aren't supposed to do that.
