Default No cruise while autotuning?

Didn't notice it before when autotuning the 2013 Wideglide due to no elctronic cruise. But while on a longer autotune session on the RG, I noticed the cruise wouldn't engage while in autotune mode with the FP3. Anyone know if that is normal? I'm guessing it is. But wanna be sure or start troubleshooting for another problem. Trouble is I'm making great progress and don't wanna end the autotune just yet.

Thanks for the reply. I tried that, no answer yet. Not real impressed with their email customer service. Second time I got no response so far...Perhaps I'll give them a call when I get a chance.

I know that cruise works while doing a speedometer calibration with the FP3 but I never tried it while autotuning. That would defeat the purpose of autotuning anyway since you'd be staying in that one cell continuously or for the most part anyway. Unless you started going uphill or downhill, it would stay at the exact same RPM but different mainifold pressures/throttle positions as you changed inclines but very minimal differences..

I've used the cruise while auto-tuning with the FP3.

That's weird ya'll, cause I got tired of waiting for V&H email response and called tech support. They said it is normal and that it isn't supposed to work while in autotune mode.

Well, tried the cruise again this morning on the way into work while autotuning...and yup! It worked. I don't know what was up the other time, probably operator error. But that raises the question as to why V&H technician told me explicitly that it's not supposed to??

He probably meant that "you're not supposed to" use cruise while auto tuning. It won't hurt anything it's just that it's pointless to use for the auto tuning process.

No he explicitly said it won't work. I was even transferred because the first guy didn't know. I get that it isn't best practice, but thought it was odd when I tried to put the cruise on to turn my battery operated heated gloves on and it didn't work. Having a host of other problems with the FP3 ranging from connectivity issues to several green populated cells disappearing during current autotune. Lack of email responses and the list goes on. Losing confidence in the company to be honest.
