Default 12" Harley Windshield on 2015 FLHTK reviews

I've gone from the old batwing fairing to the new and I don't like the stock 10" windshield. I think it is too low. If I put the 12" windshield on will it feel like my old bike?
Anybody running a 10" windsplitter and did it help?
I'm 5'9" and have always been comfortable behind the stock 12" windshield, '91, '03, '12.
Thanks

I am 6' and am running a 12" LRS Elite on my 2014 Limited and it is the perfect shield for me. FYI, I also ran the 12" Clearview shields on all my pre-Rushmore bikes.

Your Harley dealer hopefully has a windshield demo program. Try before you buy. You also might want to check out Clearview shields, they support this site and make great windshields. Right now they are offering some discounts. Their website has instructions on how to gauge the perfect windshield height for you.

I am 5'10" and the stock 10" windshield was too tall for me. I like looking over the shield, not through it. In my case the 10" was right at eye level, which I found to be annoying. Installed an 8" Freedom Shields and it's perfect.

I'm 5'9", but short legged, so sit in the seat taller.

I run an 8" LRS, and it is perfect.

Sounds as though you like to look through the shield, and while for the life of me I will never understand that, I also cannot help someone if that is their belief.

I bought this for the winter. A nice quiet bubble, makes stereo seem louder. I barely see over it, I'm 5'11''.

I went from the 10" Harley windshield to the LRS Ultra Elit 10". Love it!

"Anybody running a 10"windsplitter and did it help?" Yeah I ran a 10" Windspliter on my 2015 FLHTK . While fit and quality is good, function left something to be desired ,IMO . I had a lot of wind hitting the top of my helmet . My eyes vibrated in their sockets on long , high speed rides . I also didn't like the distorted view that I got when I looked down and through the shield (especially at night ). I now have a 10"Freedom that I like a lot .
