Default Thoughts on welding crossover pipe to header?

Anybody have any thoughts on welding the crossover to the left muffler to the 2/1/2 header pipe?

I see no reason for doing that. Explain please? I think you would need some adjustments if you ever need to remove your exhaust & welding would not give you much.

Pretty much for the sake of making sure no leaking at the connection. Just an idea

Why not just use an exhaust sealer?

I wonder if a weld would not be prone to cracking, and then your right back to where you were, an exhaust leak. It took a couple gasket changes by I got mine sealed up.....for now.

What?

There's nothing to seal upstream of the converter, just the exhaust ports which have gaskets.
