I picked up a second bike a couple months age. I wanted something with no GPS, windshield, radio etc for around town. I picked up a 2016 Softail Slim S.
It's just what I needed.
Test drove a V-rod for my son [he discovered for the first time in over a year that, when he switched his NY license for a SC license, SCDMV failed to transfer his M/C endorsement - the dealer would not/could not allow him to ride the bike]. The V-rod was so fast, upon rapid acceleration, it appeared to have some sort of defect because it sputtered and surged. Turned out, the gas was so low that upon rapid acceleration, the small amount of the remaining gas sloshed and got pinned to the rear wall of the gas tank, simulating a momentary run-out-of-gas condition.
My sixth bike will almost certainly be a dual sport to explore the gravel roads in the Jersey Pine Barrens.
To answer your question, try a Dyna if you want to stick with the MoCo, otherwise, look into a sportbike...
Five here also ... Two HD's, a XT 600 Yamaha ( set up for Ice ), YZ490 Yamaha for some woods riding and a Suzuki SP 250 for around the property. Let's see now ... another scooter ... How 'bout a Hyabusa with a turbo and nitrous ... oh ya, a coffe cup holder too :>)
