Just bought a 15 Wide Glide two weeks ago...

Over 51k on the SG, so now I have something to help with down time and warranty work down time...

Something vintage ... an Indian (flathead of course), or a knuckle, or maybe a Vincent ..... That's how I'd roll

I have 2 bikes -- both are tourers, one is my daily rider (2000 EG) which I am sure I will probably sell when I retire. The other is a 14 Ultra Limited which replaced my 09 CVO Ultra. I like the comfort and ability to carry stuff.

I think I'd go with a Kawi ZX14R. Of course, I'd also lose my license (if not my life) soon thereafter, so it'll remain "something I would do if I was still young and stupid"!

Seriously though, I've taken a couple of demo-days rides on them and there's no describing what it's like to get off of a 900#, 70 HP(?) behemoth and onto a 200 HP rocket that's actually designed to go REALLY fast, REALLY quick from the get-go!! IMHO, everybody should try it at least once.

I did own a '73 Z1 back in the day that I put a 1300cc kit on. Amazing that I survived that experience and that I'm still around to tell about it!

A buddy has one and has invited me over to ride it anytime I want. I'm afraid that if i do, I'll have no choice but to buy one.

When/if you decide to take him up on his offer, be VERY conservative with the throttle and brakes till you get used to it. Both are phenomenal!

Damn! I just checked out the '16's, and they have a solid-black LE this year. Tempting, to say the least!

There's widespread speculation that Kawasaki will eventually produce a supercharged version with around 300 HP...
