S/E Stage III 103 Upgrade Kit
I am thinking of having the S/E Stage III 103 Upgrade Kit #92500028 installed this winter on my 2014 Ultra 103 H/O (air cooled). The dealer has also recommended new S/E roller lifters and the S/E cam support plate and oil pump. I already have a HD stage l air cleaner & download, Vance & Hines Power duals and S/E 4" Street cannons.
I typically ride two up and packed. My normal shifting range is 3000 to 3500 rpm. It looks to me that if I shift at 3500 the rpm drop should put me at peak torque using the attached chart.
I can have this kit installed and be covered by the ESP. I am not interested in going non Harley parts for this reason and not interested in the 110 kits .
Has anybody installed the S/E 585 cams and what do you think?
Thanks
Jerry

I just did the SE Pro Stage III in my 2015 SG. Don't know the HP and TQ numbers yet. Still in storage due to winter. I did however go and rev it up in the shop a little bit and the sound is awesome. Gateway HD in STL has been running the dyno on 2016 SG's with Stage I at 90HP so I am hoping to get 100+ after the tune. With the 585 cam I am hoping for TQ in the 110 range. From everything I have researched till my head explodes the tune means as much as about anything with the 103 and a Stage anything build. I have a buddy that spent 7500 on a Trask putting out 132hp and 149tq but that was also 7500 and most likely more than I need. I will let you know when I get mine on the dyno. Probably March tho unless we get good weather on the weekends in STL. Hope that helps my friend. Happy Riding.

I don't believe you will need the SE cam plate and oil pump. I would put in new lifters though. I just had Woods TW 777 cams and SE lifters put in on my 15 Ultra and there is no problem using the stock cam plate. Would have put in S&S lifters but didn't want to wait on them to come in. There are also other cam choices out there as well.

You need to ask yourself a serious question....Is the couple more horsepower and lb-ft worth the money you're going to spend? You're talking about a 900 pound motorcycle, mind you.
The kit you're talking about is going to run you several thousands of dollars and give you zero return when you sell or trade-in. And your bike is not going to be appreciably faster, especially if you're shifting at 3000-3500 rpm.
For my money, the best things you can do for your bike are a good Stage 1, and then do good suspension. The Stage 1 is simply the best bang-for-the-buck you're going to see power-wise, and an upgraded suspension is appreciated every time you ride, on any roads, given any riding style.
Your bike, your money, but the minor power bump you're going to see with that kit will likely disappoint you.

Thanks. I rode in December for the first time and it was fun, but now I think the bike is going to be covered until spring.

I saw the results posted up today at the local dealer for an install on this kit. They we're still tweaking it a bit.
The run before the install was 78/100 with a stage 1 and rush slip ons.
The run after the kit installed, a heavy breather, a screamin eagle tune and rush slip ons was 90/115.
I'm guessing with no cats or better exhaust you'd get more hp out of it. They said that's about where it should be for tq.
