Default 2016 TPMS and Aftermarket wheels

Does anyone know if the TPMS sensors can be transferred to aftermarket wheels?

I was told the OEM wheels are machined inside to accept the special valve stems and the TPMS cannot be used with aftermarket wheels, or anything other than the OEMs that come on it.

15 & 16 CVO LTD wheels are the same part number so it would seem they aren't machined differently.

Funny, I just got my fobo TPMS this week. They seem to work really well and as far as I can tell didn't change the balancing of the wheels.

They don't tell you that you have to, but they (like FoBo) do recommend that you go to a metal valve stem. Some people have had problems and others have not. I was going to get the FoBo's but I think I'll wait until I buy new tires and switch to a metal valve stem for peace of mind . . .
