Do you hate your Rushmore?
Just fishing for some feedback, I always seem to hear about all the negatives after I buy something, so I figure a little research could not hurt.
Right now I have my 2011 RGU and I am not unhappy with it but I was very happy on the demo ride I went on with the new models, I bought this bike used and had the the thought that when the new RGU came out I would go for it, that thought was squashed when the the ultra did not come out in 2015, and I was not plopping down 40 grand for a CVO. Now the 2016's are here and I am again tempted but I am seeing a mix of feedback all over on the good and bad over the new and old.
So if you got a redo would you pull the trigger on that new one again or would you stick with the one you had?

Do I hate it, No, but do I think it's worth going 27K back into debt? No, not really.
Say with a trade in only having to finance 10-14K, still No, if trading a paid off and working pre-rushmore. If suddenly 27K fell into my lap, sure. All day.
14+, better bikes for sure with much more features but it's almost the same as my 07/09/10 touring bikes. They were great bikes which is a nod to how much I like Harleys.
Nod does go to Twin-Cooling, the 6.5 Radio, mailbox, stock engine output, and 14 style bags/tourpak with the twin-cooling being the only real game changer.
Linked brakes and 49mm front end are lost on me. I feel no difference. 14 might even be a little harsh up front.
Just my opinion and not meant to offend anyone. To put it simply, if I could put twin-cooling and maybe the radio on any of my previous bikes and keep it, I would have.

These are personal observations: The new forks make a huge difference; I like the 103 vs 96; I like the ABS/Linked brakes, even if I'm still getting used to them; I love the Infotainment system; and overall, despite really liking my EGC, I'm more comfortable on the SGS... even with the stock seat.
I thought I was happy in 11 when I bought my EGC... and I was. Now, I'm much happier with the 16 SGS.
Just my 2 cents...

Basically the things you mention Is what makes It a Rushmore.
I'll go on a little rant, but do respect your opinion or the right to one.
I guess you haven't had the need to brake really hard, Linked brakes changed the entire game for me, braking really hard and I do mean hard and realizing that the bike stayed leveled, rear did not sway and stopped on the dime sold It for me.
No matter how many Issues or recalls these bikes have had, hands down the best product HD has put on the road, I have owned HD exclusively for the past 30 years that might give me a little credibility.
Having said that, I have never seen so many bikers bitch and whine about BS
the Viginafication of bikers Is in full swing.

Agree. Are those things worth 27K or 14K depending on how you look at it? For me not really. Nice stuff though.
I have. I always use both brakes, so linking them (for me) doesn't do anything for me that I wasn't already doing for myself. ABS now... that was a game changer.
Man, ain't that the truth.
