Default quoted $520.00 for rear tire

Dealer quoted $520.00 for a wide whitewal rear tire installed on a 14 Road King. What a rip-off.

The stealership is never a good place to go, save your money. Way to much, find another one.

Definately not paying that. I know dealers are high but that is absurd.

I do not understand why the dealerships are shooting themselves in the foot like this. They make a ton on clothes and chrome parts, why rip us on repairs? With the internet they are loosing customers in droves.

Buy the tire, take the wheel off yourself, have the new one mounted, and put it back on.
Know what size, shop the brands and WW (white wall) or WWW (wide white wall).

Interested as to what dealership? When I was travelling this fall, Palm Springs quoted my at 920$ for front and rear. I had tread left on both.....while on my way back, installed in Festus, MO for right around $500. And they washed my bike for me.

The dealer quoted me the same absurd type of price. Ordered the tires from Jake Wilson and had them mounted at the local honda. the tire your looking for is $188.

That's what I am going to do. I do all my maintenance on the bikes. That's what I have a table for (with dropout).
I was at the dealership anyways and figured while there I'd see what they charge.

They also said I had to run a tube with spokes or they'd leak. I pointed out to them that the tires were tubeless from HD. They said they've tried but they always leak. Not impressed.
