Thanks I know the cams are no good for what I want
I got new ones se259e also torn on the se585
Just trying to be sure because I believe I am going to have 10.7
Really want them because the dealer got such good results with those cams 255 in them
94hp and 1112 tq that a customer only wanted pistons
I know from the race car the ring combo and piston coating are doing a lot of less drag on assembly
PS I do most all of my work

my problem is I bought a new SE585 cam and while I was down the dealership they were showing me how much the compression increase power
So I taught I have it apart anyway get rid of the cast 9.2 pistons
But was concerned with the 10.5+ (not sure if wet heads are smaller chamber stock) causing me headaches with junk gas out there

The 2016 110 in my Road Glide CVO Ultra is 9.2 to 1 and puts out 115 ft lbs of torque. My 12 RGC CVO is 10.12 to 1. It puts out 122 ft lbs torque. Those are HD certified numbers at the crank. The 12 Road Glide CVO was the most potent stock 110 that HD made.
It seems with the twin cooled HD went with lower compression to make a longer lasting engine. I put 87 octane from day one and it runs great on it. The others over the past few years were 115, 118 and 103 (Softail) ft lbs of torque. They some how came up with holding 115 ft lbs while lowering compression.
