Default Rushmore Road King

Has anyone installed the Legend Axeo monotubes in their Rushmore Road King yet? Any issues with fitment and do you like/dislike them?

Looking forward to your response.

Are you looking at Legend Airs lower end shocks, not their air ride system ? ?
Legends has some good shocks that will improve the ride over stock Harley air shocks.

Thanks Phat, I have the back end taken care of. What I'm wondering is if anyone out there in Forumland has changed out The front fork suspension (and not with Harley 1 Spring 1 cartridge bullshit) on a Rushmore Road King!

Thanks for your input.

My '14 King has the same front end but I went the 30mm Ohlins cartridge route from Howard at MotorcycleMetal. Don't know if it can get better than that but I have no experience with the brand you are referring to.

So no problem with fitment on your Rushmore King using the Ohlins? That's the issue right now with the Progressive and Legend mono tubes; nobody seems to know if they'll fit the Rushmore King. They say the nacelle gets in the way.......

Any further thoughts on this would be greatly appreciated.

No fitment issues at all. There is a very small amount of machining they do but that all gets done by Howard.

The nacelle is an issue and not at the same time. My nacelle is completely stock right now and the forks are obviously in. What the nacelle does, no matter what brand you go with, is cover up any adjustment you may want to later do. I plan to remove my nacelle and create an opening that allows me to get to the preload/rebound/compression adjustment and then cover those areas with plugs thus allowing access anytime I want. All my initial adjustment was done with the headlight and nacelle off.

Here is a pic of the top of my forks before putting them in. Don't have any shots after because it doesn't look any different than stock. I also have the Ohlin #6's in the rear.

That ohlins setup looks sweet! I am running pro actions in the rear and monotubes in the front on my 2010. I may try your setup on the 16.

Default Progressive

Just got off the phone with progressive and they said that their Rushmore Road King front suspension system will be released soon and possibly within the next month
