25k miles on my 14, I ride it 5 days a week since Ive owned it, I just replaced my battery last week. I definitely did NOT buy another HD battery.

 

Another drain on the battery most owners of new bikes don't realize is the security system. Lots of guys trailered rushmores on long hauls thinking the old fix of putting the fob in the bag would work. It does NOT. They found out the hard way with a dead battery when they tried to start the bike on arrival. They did NOT put the bike in transport mode while hauling. A trickle charger is a must have but if you are gonna let it sit, wouldn't hurt to put it in transport mode. As soon as someone turns on the ignition, it comes out automatically
