Default What's this mean?

Took the bike out for a spin, ans about 5 miles into my ride, the red light above the check engine and cruise indicator light up. I looked in the owners manual, and it is #13 on page 45. it says it's Electrical System Lamp (Security System).

I don't have security, so why would this just decide to light up? - Is this an indication of a problem? - Kinda freaked me out, as red usually means stop. I got off the very next exit and immediately returned home. Probably rode 15 more miles.

With my tourpack off sometime (very irregular, makes no sense as to when or why) I will get the red light and a code for turn signals. I think the red light is just letting you know that you have a code. This is a video to check the codes. The code will start with a small b, the b will look like a 6, so it will read like b1234.

Gwaxley nailed it, check for codes. I thought all the new touring bikes came with security Fobs. Guess I need to get out more

Hmmm, makes me wonder, I put a tourpak on. Wondering if there is a switch in there that riggers power to TP lights. I used a mount from a limited.

I didn't check for codes yet, but I will shortly. In the middle of doing my 1000 mile service. I took it for a ride to get it to opperation temp so I could Let everything drain while we went out for dinner, and beers.

OK, I have 2 codes: U0184, which I can't find, and b2262 which mean front brake light stuck.

Just put on new grips, so I'm gonna take apart the switch housing and see if it got jammed.

Any ideas what U0184 means? quick google search found a radio com problem, but I find that same code for dodge, and ford. Not sure if thats right.

Can someone let me know what that code means?

Here's a couple links to some of the codes. I'm pretty sure this is not all of the codes and depending on your bike year model thay maybe diferant? I only got the codes twice and the were the b codes, and have not had to dig any deeper thus far. I cleared them both times after finding out they were only for the turn signals and it has not done it again?. Good luck and I would like to know what you find.

Edit: U0184= https://www.hdforums.com/forum/new-r...oom-4-3-a.html

Thanks! I'll have to keep my eye on that, may explain why I feel my radio doesn't work as it should. - maybe a bad radio, but who knows???

99% chance you answered your own question. Did you shim the brake light switch correctly while messing with the grips. If not that' is the place to start
