Maybe try a factory reset. You'll lose any config changes you might have made but it could possibly bring things back to normal. No clue if this would impact warranties or anything.

Instructions for factory reset are around here somewhere.

If you could get back to normal I'd definitely try A206Driver's suggestion before trying again.

 

I used a different usb stick and it updated. Finicky electronics! The system sounds louder w/ the update. Then again it might be because it's been a minute since I've ridden the bike.

 

when you update do you lose all your personnel settings ?

 

Updated my Limited CVO...didn't lose anything and had it out for a 200 mile jaunt after the upgrade....I didn't have any issues.

 

I may have spoken too soon. I noticed today that my direction Indicator is gone on the map and the letters from the radio screen. Guess I'll try another factory reset and reload.

Anyone else have this?

 

My 14 limited has 2012 map. Waiting for 2014 or 15 to update

 

I haven't been able to test mine out yet. Back problems coupled w/ the wet stuff. I'll try to check it out this weekend.

 

Broke a few things on mine, back to 91 for me


EDIT: Reloaded and test drove, seems to work fine.

 

I think the bike has to be moving for those to show up. When it's sitting still the nav does not know which direction it's facing.

 

I loaded this update this morning and took a nice long test ride this afternoon. Absolutely no problems.
