I'm leaning toward ordering a set of 12" Reapers for my 2015 CVO Street Glide. Will be adding the CVO Ultra heated grips while I'm at it. Wild One will be running a 10% off w/ free shipping Thanksgiving. Any install tips and pics from you guys who just ordered will be appreciated!! I understand the brake and clutch lines will need to be "re-routed." What's involved in the "re-route"? I want to avoid bleeding brake lines and such. Also The left bar will need 3/8" trimmed off the to accept the heated grips according to Wild One. What are you using to make this cut? Will ask Wild One if they can do it prior to shipping.

Also I can't seem to find the pullback, rise, width dimensions of the Yaffe Monkey Bagger Bars for comparison to the Reapers. Anyone have this for the 12" MBB?

Thanks!

RK1679.. I'm currently deployed, so I wont be able to do the install till I get home. As far as the re-route of the brake and clutch lines, they are zip tied to my understanding and should be as simple as cutting the ties and getting lose some slack. Here is a good install video on a SG on youtube..

As far as the trimming goes, I'll measure and mark it, and use a cutoff wheel. I'm sure a hacksaw or grinder would work just as well. I'll most likely put it all together to see the gap myself before I cut it, just to be sure.

I went with 12" Yaffe bars. They just came in yesterday and last night I ran the strings through the bars to get a jump on the wiring.

I'm reading several different methods online; some leave the sheathing, some cut it off and heat shrink. Some run the TBW and right hand controls together, others do it separately. I think I've heard everything from WD-40 to baby powder being used for lube...

+1 on that you tube video for the 10" Yaffe MBB's; I've watched it 10 times so far. The only thing that sucks about it is he doesn't show his method for doing the TBW/right side controls. The video cuts out then it's magically done.

You remove the half clamps and levers from each master cylinder perch, the perches will be pass through the forks/triple tree/frame to reroute and free up some cable length. You may not even have to do that for 12's, I'd test fit first. I can't remember if I rerouted mine for my 12's or not until I went with 16's. Use a die grinder/dremel tool with a cut off wheel for the cuts.

Nice looking bars, Wild1 makes nice bars. If I hadn't already ordered 14" Factory 47 Malo bars, I may have considered these. Although I like the 1.5" bar and 38" grip width of the Malo's
