Thanks
The chuck that comes on the end of the hose is threaded and it will come off, you will have to put some elbow grease into but it does unscrew.

I thought at first how in the heck do you change the chuck but I just put some muscle into it and the chuck did unscrew.

You will likely have to use a rag and a pair of pliers on the knurled end on the hose side so you don't damage it and use the proper size wrench on the chuck it come attached with. It will take some force but it will unscrew.

I use one of these... and as a bonus, it has a tread depth gauge.

Cheap investment and it works well.

It is annoying, but personally I don't see it as hard... I am not sure how else that it could be done since they already put the stem off to the side making it easier....

guess you could spring for a new bike with TPMS...?

Good luck with the stuff from Cycle Gear. That Chinese gauge measured 10 pounds off for me; it went right back to Cycle Gear.

A friend gave me a kit that included a gauge and I love it. It is inexpensive but works like a charm. It clips on the stem so you don't have to hold it and doesn't leak. Then you take your time with the trigger to fill it and it shows the pressure as you fill it. If you get a little too much in just press the black button and let a little out.
