Default Radio reboot

even when I keep my key on auxiliary when I I turn to start and start my bike the radio completely reboots and I have to wait for everything to reboot i.e. Bluetooth, cb navigation. my friends bike doesn't do this just wondering how many people have this problem.

My 2015 Limited Low does the same thing. Did your friend do anything to make his not reboot?

Best thing to do is wait for it to reboot while you are gearing up for the ride, then start it, not a problem yet with mine brother.

Mine doesn't do a full reboot after starting, but the screen does go dark for a few seconds. I usually have mine set to USB source using 16 Gb drive, intercom off, CB on & phone BT on for both profiles. I'm running 1.18.3

I have an android phone running ver 5.0.1

Screen didn't used to go dark quite as long when phone was on 4.1 android & pre 1.18.3 software on 6.5GT.

BTW - Went back to 1.18.3 from 1.19.0 because I was having some BT issues using android 5.0.1 (not resuming music after phone call abort).

Honestly if you look at what Apple and Samsung are doing with smart phones you figure HD would put some effort into it . . .

Just an FYI. I noticed how my indicated voltage would drop to 10 volts while starting so I checked the battery connections, both tight. Went ahead anyway and removed them and polished the connectors and terminals up with a scotch bright pad. The voltage now stays closer to 12 volts and the radio has seemed to lose it quirks. Worked for me.

Harley has released an updated software version 1.19.1 which claims to have fixed this and a few other issues like, unresponsive volume control, radio reset upon start, etc. I had all of these problems as well and the update has seem to have fixed it. Here is the link...hope it helps.

I am already running 1.19.1 and as far as I can tell it did not fix anything
