Pardon my ignorance with Radar detectors and such but what happens when LEO notices that you've got a unit or at the very least an indicator display mounted on your bike. Does it go by jurisdiction as to whether it is legal to use one.

Three reasons I mounted mine in the fairing is, keep it out of the weather, don't want to take it down every time I stop (theft), and if I do get pulled over, I don't want it out in the open. Im pretty sure its a guaranteed ticket if
its in plain sight.

If I remember correctly the only places they're illegal here in the States is Virginia and Washington DC. Just traveled through both those areas with the car and took it (Passport 9500ix) off the windshield and put it on the console, still worked although I'm sure the effectiveness was lessened.
