These are called "clamping *****". I'm using the same method to secure my stock bags. I indexed one of the high edges of each **** at the 12 o'clock position when its tight enough and marked that edge to help me detect if the ***** have backed out...so far, so good after each 5000 mile roll of the odo of my 18,000 mile RGS. I didn't use lock-washers...where are you using the lock-washers?
Good eyes! I had not added them yet when I took this picture. These will back out over time a bit without them. I have them between the ***** and the fender washers..
I'm not the OP but have gone through the process. Install is a piece of cake. Top Shop stuff fits, plain and simple. I assume you got the CVO lights and the license plate cover with the LED...all prewired to snap together seamlessly. I couldn't be happier with this setup.
I purchased it through factory match and sent with the smoked cvo lights and black plate frame (was not aware it lit up, nice) so I am assuming it plug and play for the lights as you say. Thanks for the help

Fender showed up today can't wait to install it. The LED plate frame came with wiring connected to it guessing it must just connect to one of the tail lights?
