Default Strange Noise

When I started up my bike the other day I heard a strange noise somewhere around the lower left side. Best I can describe it, is it sounded sort of like rubbing 2 pieces of course sandpaper together. I heard it 3 or 4 times and it lasted maybe 2 seconds each time. Haven't heard it since. Thoughts?

Your wife/girlfriend/kid was rubbing two pieces of course sandpaper together to mess with your head?

I was thinking about your noise, scratched my head and it makes that exact same noise.

I am not trying to make fun of you, because I encountered the some strange noises myself on my 2015 SGS not too long go. I was riding with a buddy on a trip when I heard this noise coming from then lower left side, just like you described it. But it went away on its own. It lasted only for a rather short period of time. It happened when my bike had approx. 2K on the clock. Never found out what it was.

I've only heard it that one time. I'm at about 12,500 miles.

Default Possible Clutch Recall Issue

The scratching sound may have to do with the recent clutch recall. The recall said the clutch was not fully disengaging. If you have not had the clutch recall check with your dealer to see if it applies to you.
