Left side Rinehart slip on exhaust has play
Hi guys, I was cleaning my bike today and noticed my left Rinehart slip on exhaust is loose and has play around the mount. (up/down and left and right)
The slip on exhaust muffler clamp is torque to 40lbs. The Two screw on the top side of the muffle is torque down to 12lbs. I try to swap the rubber mount from left to right and it the left one still had play.
Is this a common thing on the touring bike?
should i order new rubber mounts?
Is there anything else I should try, could the cross over pipe cause this.
I figure I would tackled this myself, because if I go to the dealership, they probably say it not cover because I installed the cat-less header and slip on myself.

If you loosen the two bolts under the saddle bag the mufflers will drop a little, not to the ground.
Unless the rubber that the bracket runs thru is really wore out you should get no play.
Did you check to see how far the muffler is installed over the cross over?
As far as I know, both mufflers should be solid at both mounting points, where the mufflers connect to the exhaust headers and the rear mounting braket.
