Default Front suspension for 2014 and up Touring

Hello,

Are there any reviews of the new 2014+ Progressive MONOTUBE CARTRIDGE KIT FOR HD TOURING part number 31-4000. I'm interested on 2014 and up touring suspension

Thank you for all replies.

Well. The new progressive Rushmore kits are $400. They better make a difference!

Default I have them fitted

I fitted the HD Premium single cartridge fork kit a few months ago and am really happy with the results (See my other posts on this issue).
Fork dive under braking has all but been eliminated and the ride is much firmer and more compliant.
I consider it a really good upgrade.

Yes, I installed these along with Ohlins in the rear last winter, and have hade the best riding season in memory. Just rides so much nicer, and more compliant and responsive. Night and day. I recommend the HD Premium single cartridge.

This is my set up too, I had the premiums installed at set up of the bike and recently moved to Ohlins on rear. Feels good

Default How does it affect the ride?

I'm reading that when doing the front suspension on the Rushmore bikes: "More compliant"
"Stiffer"
"Great upgrade"
"Much nicer"
"Better ride"

So my question is... is it a more comfortable ride? How exactly does it change the ride? How does going 1 " lower affect the bike and the ride? Do you need to upgrade the kick stand? 1" lower on the windshield? How does it feel?

Can't answer the how it feels part, but you won't need to make any changes to the kick stand, and it doesn't lower you in the saddle so you won't need to make any windshield changes.

To be specific, the ride is definitely improved - bumps are smoothed out and there is less 'bounciness' in the front end. Overall it feels much better than stock. Ride height is not affected (with the standard height option) so no need to mess with the kickstand or windshield.
