Had a stage 1 kit installed at 5K miles on my 14 SG, along with some 3.5" Rinehart slip-ons that I had installed late last Fall. I put on about 1500 miles after the conversion and now the black Rinehart pipe end cap on the right side has now changed color to a very light black (it's so light it almost doesn't look black) instead of the jet black on the left side. Stealership said they've never seen anything like that and to get hold of Rinehart, which I've done, but no repsone via e-mail. Any of you smaht guys out there have an idea? My original thought is that the tune (a download) is wrong and the hot cylinder is extra hot. Opinions?
This black fading end cap issue is long in the tooth for RineFarts. They have been doing that for years and years. Sometimes they try to fix it by sending out new end caps. I'm sure they will in your case.
I had an '05 Ultra Classic in Black Cherry Pearl. After time my black Rinehart tips turned the same color. It was pretty cool, I told people it was custom.
That's exactly what I have, a maroon color. No wonder Rinehart doesn't respond, they haven't fixed it. I think now I will change them around and see if the other one turns color, then I'll have a match.

Exactly what I was going to suggest! If things don't work out I believe you can get the end caps in chrome.
