Progressive MONOTUBE CARTRIDGE KIT FOR HD TOURING 14+ part number 31-4000
Hello,
Are there any reviews of the new 2014+ Progressive MONOTUBE CARTRIDGE KIT FOR HD TOURING part number 31-4000. I'm interested only on 2014 and up touring
I'm thinking about upgrading my 2014 SG to the Progressive 944s. So that leaves the front end.... Anyone get this kit or lower their front end 1"? Pro's? Cons? What should we know? Kickstand? Buffering from shorter windshield? Ride quality? What changes?
I've got these installed in my 14 SGS. I love the ride. More responsive and a whole lot stiffer. I did the 1" drop. Only issue is if you hit a crack or anything else in the road that's too deep it'll sound like they bottom out. But I still love the ride.
After a my wife's first ride on the RG last night, I'm definately in need of something to control the front end better. The brake dive 2 up was atrocious and the handling was mediocre compared to solo.
What has been the consensus view of the Progressive Kit installed on older models?
I have installed them on my 2010 SG absolutliy loved them. Also installed the on a 2012 RG and they were also a great improvement. Just ordered the new kit for my 2014 Ultra
I got the progressive fork suspension today. I'm impressed with the quality. The new 2014 and up uses the FST technology and are nitrogen filled gas. They are $499 but I got them for $370 online. I will install them next week.
I had them on my previous 11 SG, but went with the HD premium cartridge when I bought my 15 RGS back in Nov, since Progessive hadn't come out with monotubes for the Rushmores at the time. They both keep the bike planted in the road...I'm happy with either one.
I just installed the new Progressive Monotubes in the front and on my 2014 CVO Limited. My front end along with 444 Progressive Shocks on the back...
I LOVE THEM !!! 100% better than stock Harley garbage.
The front end is stiffer but not too stiff. I can actually feel the road now; which kinda freaks me out. I did notice that if the front tubes extend fully on a large bump there is a wierd sound "clank". Its only happened twice so far im a month.
Well worth the upgrade ! I installed them myself in less than 3 hours with beer involved
