Ok, I have a 2014 Road King and for the life of me am having a hard time with the EITMS. All the instructions I have read say that when it is turned on it flashes green and off, orange.

On my RK it flashes green both ways. I don't know if I'm coming or going.lol

Anybody got this figured out?

Down in southern Texas it seems like a good thing to have turned on in the heat of summer.

Thanks

I'm sure you've done this but it works for me. While stopped and engine at idle, roll throttle towards brake lever and hold for a bit. If cruise light flashes green, it's activated. Do that again and watch for yellow light.

Well I must be colorblind or something.lol Everytime I roll the throttle forward and the light flashes it looks green to me.

I had the cruise off I think but will double check it.

Thanks

if it's a 14 you won't like it turned on. it's tied to the air intake sensor and anytime it's reads over 84* (i think) it comes on at a stoplight. i found it to come on every time i stopped on my new bike. worked much better on my 12 streetglide. i just turned it off.

Just for fairing bikes. The RK should still be when it gets to 280 something degrees. Why the difference, I dunno.

I keep mine off as well.

80 degree ambient temp after about 5 minutes of riding will make it switch from "Enabled" to "Active" while sitting at a stop light. A little ease out on the clutch or a small roll on the throttle will get it back to normal for a few seconds making for a smooth launch.

Mine was set to the disabled mode when I took delivery of the bike. I haven't seen any reason to change that.
