Powder Coat: Wrinkle, Gloss or Matte Black?
I did the engine cases wrinkle to match the factory cylinders and cases, but all my chrome got a satin black powdercoat. Signals, rear struts, bag latches, lowers, bars, levers, tank dash, headlight ring, crash bar, etc. My powder coater told me that a true flat black powdercoat will fade/whiten after long exposure to the sun, that's why he does a 20% gloss for what's technically satin. Bonus: the satin is pretty much a perfect match to the factory black paint on the parts like switch housings and stuff.

I have been mixing it up. Depends on the component. I have the gloss fuel door and will be having the console done in flat.
the trans side cover will be wrinkle to match the trans and motor, the bars I am installing on Saturday ate gloss. I like multiple shades of black, but you have to do it right.
if you clean your bike a lot, go with gloss or flat. the textured is harder to keep clean as I am sure you already know.
