2014 roadking or 2015 limited

I had an 09 RK and now a 14 Limited. I liked my RK, but there is no comparison overall. I just did 3400 miles in 6 days and it was pure pleasure. Before this last trip I did the quick release thing for the tour pac and now have the best of everything. I also did a Mustang Summit seat and definitely can vouch for that.

I hate it when a RK is referred to as a little bike and the batwings referred to as big. Its the same bike folks, except with a lot of extra plastic. For two up or those who want the radio and all the electronic gizmo's I understand the desire. Now with the TC, I also understand that interest. For pure riding (and looks in my book) the King still has the Crown. But Harley does love all those who spend so much more on the batwings and all!

My first touring bike was a RK,and then went on to fairing bikes. I made a mistake and traded my Limited in on a RK a few years ago. What a mistake that was. I love the way a RK looks, but as far as enjoyment riding, the Limited is the way to go hands down. I ride year round and it isn't always 80 degrees and sunny here,so the fairing helps quite a bit. I took it a step further and got a CVO Limited, now you wanna talk about being spoiled

I don't tour and even if i did it might be one week out of the year and is a major reason i haven't considered a Limited in 2016 thus yet. Most are priced 7k above a Road King if not more. If all i did was long ride personally speaking i would definitely consider the top dog. I figure i can make a Road King even with a tour pack and fairing cheaper than i can buy an Ultra but if you have to have a computer and music on a motorcycle you'll never be happy with the bare bones Road King. Oh you can add music to a RK as well. Thats what nice about your RK you can do so many things or nothing at all and its as good a touring bike from a comfort standpoint as any.

I won't ride a bike without fairing and tour pack regardless 5 miles or 500. Wife's friend bought a 14 CVO RK and on every trip people were admiring the RK so wife wanted one, ask my dealer friend to borrow one for couple hrs took it out rode it hard like we normally do 20 minutes later she didn't want it.But we both ended up trading our UCs with matching Limiteds.
