non-recall SGS having clutch issues
#12
The REAL pisser is you know they are putting together new bikes all day every day at the factory and they won't simply grab a new shinny part off the line to give to a valued customer who has already given them 30K of his hard earned money.... instead he has to wait for some BS rebuild kit that is back ordered....that ticks me off.

Not that I have heard. I have a slew of friends with CVOs with no problems - no recalls that I can confirm. 110 engine problems though.... yeah. Lots of those. lol

I just got back from the dealer to get my saddlebag pin recall done. While they were writing me up, they got pinged that my RGS is now subject to the clutch recall. The thing is, it wasn't listed when the saddlebag pin recall came out. I searched the VIN on Harley's site as well as the .gov one. The only recall that showed was for the pins.
Maybe they expanded the clutch recall?

Screw it!
Yep, I'm on the list - now!
Not that I hadn't already found out that I had a problem when the bike tried to jump out from under me about 3 weeks after I got it after it sat for a week.
I flushed the gunk that's claimed to be harmless assembly lube out with fresh synthetic DOT 4 fluid and bled the system. All's been well ever since - so screw the recall.
No brain-dead "tech" is touching my bike as long as I can see a way to avoid it!
