Default Battery Life

How long can I expect my battery to last. It is two years old now and sits on a battery tender when I am working overseas for four months at a crack, four months on, four months off. When I'm off I ride almost daily.

My '06 battery (OEM) lasted until 2013 when I changed it just because. Sold the bike a few months later, new owner got a new battery. ALWAYS on the Tender when not in use and in the winter sometimes that's months at a time.

Mine lasted only 2 years even using a battery tender.

Default battery life

My '08 had the original battery in it when I traded last fall. It was always on a tender when in the garage.

I use a tender and I exchange them every 4 to 5 years whether they need to be or not. I don't like surprises in the middle of no where.

2008 EGC bought in December 2007. Traded in July 2014 for a SGS and it still had the original battery. It was on a tender if I couldn't ride for a week and, of course, several months at a time from November to March. A little too cold for me.

My 04 Ultra battery was n the bike until I traded it in 2010 still running strong. I kept in on tender during the winter.

My 2011 Ultra battery was in the bike when I traded in on my 2014 - same thing...no problems.
