Screaming Eagle air cleaner kit

So I should get a Stage 1 download only with my set of slip-on's?
A Screaming Eagle A/C will not benefit my bike anymore than the stock?
I like this one but don't want to spend $$$ if I don't need it..... http://www.harley-davidson.com/store...ir-cleaner-kit

Screaming Eagle air cleaner kit
I saw a dyno test one of the aftermarket companies did comparing the stock Rushmore air cleaner to a stage 1. With a new filter there was no difference below 3k RPM'S then very little difference above that. But after only a couple thousand miles the stage 1 did quite a bit better due to the larger filter area not restricting flow as much as it started to get dirty with miles. With a stage 1 AC you will get more intake noise due to the open back. I had the screaming eagle AC on my 12 Limited. I have the Fuel Moto on my 14. I think the FM is better looking, a better design, and easier to install then the Screaming Eagle. You don't have to lift the tank and remove the support bracket.

SE Stage 1 with K&N element. Just a thought if you do the SE set up, I used silicon to secure that rubber gasket to the stock cover that normally seals the chrome cover to the stock black air box. Since you have to remove the black air box, leaving the rubber gasket on the cover gives it a more finished/stock look. Keep in mind too that for the slight if any performance you'll get, it is noisier when you get on it.

The questions you are asking have been answered thousands of times on this forum. My answer is what is working for me but I like a quiet bike that runs well, your goals might be different.
Good luck,
Mike

Here is a quote from Fuel Moto from another thread. It includes a Dyno compairing the stock Rushmore to the Fuel Moto Pro Billet Stage 1. Here is the link to the thread I copied this from https://www.hdforums.com/forum/new-r...age-one-5.html It has 6 pages of info on this subject.
We have a ton of data on air cleaners on the Rushmore bikes including flowbench & dyno test info. The stock Rushmore AC is slighly better than the stock air cleaner on earlier bikes, most of the improvement is in the cover design. By far the biggest issue with the stock air cleaner is the element cartridge is only about 1" thick, this not only affects airflow it directly affects the overall volume (area between the throttle blade & the interior of the element) as well as the inlet path. The direction & effect the air flows thru the air cleaner as an assembly and most importantly airflow at the inlet of the throttle body can/will greatly affect flow & performance, its not just about the peak flow numbers. The stock Rushmore AC flows just over 200 CFM and most aftermarket Stage 1 air cleaners are in the 300+ CFM range (about 50% more), however even this increase in max CFM only tells part of the story.
In most cases a Stage 1 air cleaner is among the best dollar per Hp you can spend, in most Stage 1 applications swapping the air cleaner is generally good for 2-5Hp/Tq relative to the rest of the mods you are doing, most aftermarket options also have a cleanable element that will last the life of the bike so you can consider the cost savings there as well.
Below you will find a dyno chart of the Fuel Moto Pro Billet air cleaner vs the stock air cleaner. This was a back to back test on a completely stock 2015 FLHX, no retuning.

I was stock until about 1000 miles, then did the below listed stuff. I immediately noticed that the torque came in much sooner than it had before. The power was more consistent and manageable. The bike accelerates better and has better overall drivability, but the real beauty is in the low speed maneuverability...i.e.parking lots, traffic, etc. I like it.
