Default Saddlebag Lid Spoiler Wiring

2014 Limited

Looking for some wiring help here and nothing in the spoiler lid instructions or service manual. I have the LED's installed and working properly as part of my TP removal mod. I didn't use the HD TP removal kit as I don't like the look of the Electra-Glo lights that come with it. So... what I did was pieced it together by buying the quick disconnect bracket, moved my license plate down below the brake light and added an illuminated frame and added saddlebag spoiler LEDs for turn signals.
My dilemma is that there's not enough contrast between the running lights and turn/brake on the spoiler lights for them to be seen well. So, my thought was to eliminate the running function so that during turn or brake they're either on or off instead of switching between dim and bright. Make sense? Where I need help is in the wiring. I have cut all 4 wires going to the LED and put connectors on them so I could try different scenarios but all I've seemed to come up with is that there's NO light or there's run/turn/brake. I only want to eliminate the running portion. Yeah, I know, I could get the CD Fillerz or many other ways to accomplish brighter lights but I like the look I have now with the color matched Harley fillers and not crazy about other options I've seen. Has anyone had any experience with this wiring?

Did you ever figure this one out? I'm installing the spoilers and would prefer them to be brake and turns only. Any updates?
Thanks

Get some posi-taps ... or even better, Custom Dynamics makes an in-line harness that should work perfectly for this. I used it to connect my Plasma Rods as Run/Brake, but it should work for the spoiler lights as well. I imagine that you would have to cut the factory connectors from the spoiler leads, but no big deal IMO. I would take a look here and give them a call. I wound up going with the brake/turn only. Unfortunately, it was so long ago that I can't remember the exact wiring. I just used a multimeter and found which wire was the running lights and just didn't use that one. Sorry I couldn't be more help. If I get time, I'll pull the TP off and see what I did.
