I thank all of you for your replies. My concern was not that there was some gunk on the magnet, but how much there was. And the oil being quite dirty with only 2K of use.

What made me worry was a strange noise coming from the left side of the bike during a long round trip to FL. On the way home I noticed this rattling noise. It was not very loud, but loud enough, especially the echo when riding near a Jersey wall. In the mean time the bike is quiet again. I suspected the automatic chain tensioner as being the possible culprit for this noise. When I saw the metal residue on the plug I started to worry about some internal damages. What do you guys recommend? Should I take the cover off and check the tension of the chain? I can only imagine my dealer is going to tell me "it's perfectly normal" when I show him the metal shavings I wiped off the magnet.

I assume it's still under warranty just ride it because tech at shop is going to tell it's normal. They all make noises or it's within specs.
