Help with hot right leg

Don't get me wrong, this bike ('15 Limited) is by far cooler than my '09 Street Glide ever was. We would fry on the Street Glide and riding in mid-90's like we did yesterday would be a no-no. The liquid cooling really works on the Limited - head temps ~205* at speed and ~225* when in traffic.
The only thing I can think of that is different is the lowers on the Limited is blocking enough wind to let the heat off the headers radiate in the passenger floorboard area.

You definitely want her with you so:
Getting her feet up higher should help.
Possibly some heat blocking material attached to the bottom of her floor boards would help as well. Don't know what that is but i'm sure something is out there.
The lowers are probably blocking some air, can't see how they wouldn't.
I wear Rocky tactical boots, mesh sides in the summer and leather boots in the fall and winter.

I'm a shorts wearing guy this time of year and have problems with this myself.
I had a dog ear style heavy black leather flap idea (pieces I already have) in my head but going out to look at the bike that idea kinda petered out. Keep thinking about just heat tape wrapping the pipe areas needed but that'll probably peter out too when I look at the bike again.

When it gets real hot there is another thing to look at. Sometimes you need to adjust all of the vent to where the wind flow isn't right at your hot spot on your body. What I have found is the air coming off your hot engine usually is pointed right at your hot feet or where ever because you think more air = cooler but in reality all that real hot air off the engine is pointed right at your foot so it is getting blasted by 75 mph hot air all the time so it can get way hot. I ride in shorts and tennis shoes on short jaunts to the store and I have never been as hot as what you are saying your wife gets. Just a thought. didn't mean to ramble but I hope it mite help.

Goose - you may have a point.
My wife hasn't really complained until - A.) Weather turns "hot" and B.) Prolonged highway riding 65mph+
She doesn't wear "riding gear" but wears jeans. She did have flip flops on during this past 4+ hour highway trip...so I bet this is what caused most of her problems, the lack of foot protection/insulating her from the heat.
