Just heard from my local dealer who is also good friend of mine that this year 2016 models line up will be back at the rally not sure because it's 75th anniversary or it will be every year as it was way back. Also mentioned rumor CVO will have 120 and all the rest touring will be 110 but again he said it's just a rumor.

 

The line up reveal news is also in the new HOG magazine, page 17. I might venture into town for this if the wife wants to test ride a bike or 2. I'm not in the market but was always fun to see the new stuff when they were in Rapid City.

As for the 120/110 rumors.........I'm not holding my breath, but you never know with the MoCo.

 

If they plan to show the 2016's at Sturgis, then the dealer show/meeting should happen BEFORE Sturgis. Any idea when that dealer meeting is scheduled this year? If it's not until after Sturgis, then I'd say the rumor may be wrong?

 

Friend at the local dealer said the show was 3rd week of August.

The info about the reveal is published in the recent HOG magazine, so apparently the dealers will either have to wait or receive an email with info to field all the questions before their show.

 

Cool. I'm summering in the Black Hills. HOG mag is probably sitting in my PO Box back in Michigan, so haven't seen the article.

 

New models were at the rally until 2010 due to cut backs and reduce cost I think and also Rapid City convention center location was eliminated to save more money. Also no more snacks and lemonade while you explore the new merchandise and bikes.

 

Yet on page 16 it says first place to test ride the 16's anywhere will be Sept. 3-7



And on pg 17 it says see the 16 line up

 

Well in couple weeks I'll know if page 16 or 17 was printed in error anyway. I will report back from Sturgis which page is correct.

I have a red 16 limited on order and dealer has a ship date of 8/7 on the factory computer. Anytime they ship bikes before the dealer show means no big changes, usually just colors. So probably no 110 in regular bikes. Mike
