In all honesty, do you really need anything above 103? I have 2014 Ultra Limited, I ride mainly 2 up, cover up to 500 miles on some daily trips and have never complained that I need more power .... meantime, I am also a Private Pilot, drive a 450HP car, which does zero to sixy flat 4 secods, but when I am on the bike, I just don't need this type of acceleration, its all about comfort, twisties and being proud of American built! I looked at the CVO 110, yeah its a bit faster, but is it worth 12k over the Ultra Limited? now, with 120 inch you can expect to add another 5k on top of that 12k for CVO ... waste of money in my view.... what say you?
I agree 100%. You get a finely tuned 103 with stage one and it will run as good if not better than the 110 and of coarse run a lot cooler. I am not saying I will never own a 110 but I am way happy with my 103.
Well IMO Indian and Victory are putting pressure on Moco to bump up Cubic". Saw a YouTube video way back not sure if it was Victory or Indian they comparing to Harley motors and making fun of CVO calling it Screaming chicken.

For the most part the bikes run great as is but there is always going to be the bigger is better crowd! IMHO my 110 is over kill for what I need because of the speed limit.

The "Screamin' Chicken" is what the Firebird decal that covered the entire Hood on the 1970's era Pontiac Firebirds was called at the time . . . LOL, glad to see it's being resurrected . . . sort of like the mythalogical Firebird I suppose.
I think the term Screamin Chicken is why Harley now calls them CVO's instead. A 120" CVO is not all that far fetched, twin cooling is now two years old and they said that would never happen. The 2014 Rushmore was a vast evolution of Harley Touring bikes, twin cooled, ABS/linked brakes, larger forks, led lighting, some bumps with warranties which seem to be working out. I hope the 16"s don't change much, I don't need another hit at the bank.

I would say I definitely need more than a 103. I did my 107 build mostly for 2 up driveability. It will easily walk away from a stock 103 or 110 and is vastly improved from stock for both initial acceleration and roll on power. It's better but still not enough. If a stock 120 gets us close to Wing level roll on power, lets have it. If a 103 is the right engine for a 650# Dyna, its probably a bit weak for a 900# touring rig.
