Default header pipe

Another one with S&S power Tune Duals, 4" Rineharts with competition baffles. Nice deep tone and runs great!

This is just my opinion, I went with Rinehart Slimline Duals for the fact they have a cross
over between the two pipes, more low end torque then true duals.

I switched from the VH PD with Monster rounds to the 4" Rineharts with the fullsac x pipe, and wow what a difference, I finally have the sound I wanted.
My only concern Is that I think ceramic pipes runs hotter, this Is based on mama complaining of the heat near her feet.

Any benefit to taking the cat out of the stock header pipe? Will It just be a little cooler or will I gain some power ? Right now I have a FM air cleaner ,rush big Louie's slip on's 4" w 3" baffles and a pv2 with a tune from FM. I know I will have to get smaller baffles 2.25 or 2.50 and a new custom tune from FM.
Just wanted to know if I will get the same power as any other 2-1-2 non-catted head pipe?

I did the Fuel Moto steel plasma ceramic headpipe for $399, and the Bassani DNT slip-ons. The DNT's supposedly sound identical to the CFR's. I can tell you, they have a deep rumble, that doesn't interfere with your radio. The head pipes, are ceramic coated inside and out, to provide excellent heat management. I am extremely satisfied with my choices.
