14" Freedom Shield arrived
After a couple of emails to John I decided the 14" dark tint would be my choice. Pretty happy with the stock height just wanted to bump the air bubble up a tad. John said this one would do that. I chose the dark tint for the looks. After ordering I became a bit worried that at night it would be a problem but after seeing it I don't believe so. Being dark it does force me to look farther forward, like your supposed to, so that's a good thing in my opinion.
8 days from placing the order to UPS arriving with it. Good deal, because I wanted to have plenty of time before our Sturgis trip to decide if I really liked it or not.
Out of the box I noticed right away it was heavier than stock and has very nice polished edges, unlike the stock shield. Mounted easily but I did notice that along the lower center portion it sits a bit proud in the gasket. Probably do to the extra thickness. No gaps under it so its fine, just probably catch a few extra bugs there.
Wasted no time taking it for a spin on the interstate to see how she worked. I was able to keep my face shield open at 75-80 where as with the stock shield I couldn't without getting eye irritation from dust and debris. Still had plenty of air entering the tiny top vents on my helmet so I'm happy with it.
Did not notice any distortion through the recurve portion. I see well over the top. I'm 6'2" with 35" inseam and could have easily gone with a 15". Keep in mind this is on the CVO so seat sits a lot higher than the RGS/RG.

Looks wise I'm very happy. I did consider the KlockWerks, I really do like the looks of theirs, but the price was more than I wanted to spend knowing it may not function like I wanted.
I'll get that of and post this weekend.
