Default Handle bars and fairing not straight

I have a friend who has a 14 ultra and when you ride it straight the bars, boom box and fairing are slightly crooked. When you try to hold it straight it goes left.
The tire is centered in the fender and forks. all the mounting looks even on both sides.
Could this be the back tire out of straight thats causing this or what is your thoughts. Thanks in advance

More than likely the bars have shifted in the stock rubber bushings. You could try to straighten them by turning the bars all the way and then "crank" on em to shift them back straight. Or replace the rubber ones with hard polyurethane bushings.

Just a guess tho.

Make sure there is not a bad weld at the neck. Check the obvious first and this last.

Thanks for the suggestion. I got to thinking about it and if the bars had slipped in the bushings wouldn't that make the bars crooked with the fairing?
Nothing looks out of whack other than the bars need to be a little right for the bike to go straight. That's why I was thinking just maybe the back tire might be a little mis aligned. Thank you guys for your time and I will check everything over good hoping to find something simple.

I noticed this on mine too - I thought I was losing it - glad to see I am not alone with this one. I have been VERY happy with my ride, and this has been very noticeable of late... mine goes into the shop in a few weeks for it's 10K so I am ready for Sturgis, and this is on my list to be checked out. Let me know what you find out if before 7/20....

It could be that the fork tubes are not parallel in the triple clamp or one is bent. Get in front of the bike while he's on it holding it upright and eyeball the front wheel so that it's pointing dead-straight. If the fairing/bars are not offset, the problem is somewhere else. If they're still offset, then try this. Jack the bike up till the front wheel is lightly touching the ground and loosen up all the fork tube pinch bolts and the front axle clamp and everything might spring back straight, or very close to it. If this happens, or if light pressure on the bars straightens everything out, then they weren't parallel. If you get the bars straight and then the front fender is offset over the tire in the other direction, then I'd say it's got a bent fork tube.

Has it been that way since it was new, or did it happen suddenly or after somebody worked on the front end?

All 3 of my Ultras have done it eventually. I think it just comes from repeatedly using the bars to pull the bike upright off the kickstand.

So, the bars AND fairing got crooked on your Ultras? That's just plain weird!

I can't imagine a human being able to bend something in that massive front end using only manual force.
