I'm ready to change the primary fluid in my '15 Limited. I will be running Redline in the motor and trans, and wanted feedback on those of you that have tried the Redline Primary. I know with the noise issues I have read quite a few posts about using the formula + to keep things quiet, but I'm a big fan of the Redline products. Anyone using the Redline Primary fluid and happy with the results???

On my 15 Sgs I used Redline in my primary when I did my first fluid change. Right away I noticed that my primary was noiser then before, I just switched it to Formula + and now it is quiet.

I've used Formula+, Redline Primary, Mobil 1, and currently Shell Rotella T 15w-40 in the primary. My experience is noise & performance were more dependent on the fluid level, rather than the type of fluid. Early on, I'd put in a quart, and call it good. I since learned that I needed 38oz (1qt + 6oz) to get the fluid up to the proper mark.

Mobil 1 V-twin = Ahhh! Quiet again!

I just ordered Redline for the primary and the tranny. I run Mobile1 VT in motor and primary and SYN3 in tranny right now. Runs OK, but it's not quiet, per say. After all the miracles I read about the Redline products, I decided to give it a shot. I will change and then report back, as well.

 

Put Formula+ in the primary.

 

Me too, but have to stick with SYN3 in the motor, not putting it in till end August, I too will report back when I get back from European Bike week in Austria, that should give it a good test!!
