Default 1000 mile and 5000 mile reflash?

Is it true that the dealer performs a reflash at the 1000 mile service then another at 5000 miles then it is out of break in mode? I thought you had to get a tuner to perform any changes to the engine operating parameters?

Good question? Had a 2011 GT500 Mustang, for the first 50 miles it had some sort of governor programmed in to prevent the haulers from screaming around in it. After that, hang on!!!

Seriously, if a dealer told you that report them and immediately find another dealer. That one is not to be trusted. Oh, and please post the name of that dealer so we all can avoid it in the future.
