What is the clear coating HD uses on the lower front fork legs?

3M reflective tape, you can get it in different widths or cut to any size you like.

I wonder if that coating is just clear powder coat? I'll bet that's what it is.

Well... if it is I'm screwed. Not going to spend that kind of money. Guess I'd just have to re-install the reflectors. I know Kuryakyn sells those lower leg accent covers because I had them on my 09 Road King. But after checking their site, they don't make them for the 14's and above... yet. Those would cover up the area.

I think I found the fix (albeit a cover-up). I ordered these white saddlebag reflectors off Ebay. They're smaller than the stock amber reflectors I removed from the lower fork legs but I think they will cover up the blemish just fine. Since I'm going all white/clear on the front end with the lights, these should work nicely.

Why not cover up with stick on white reflector material, its tuff stuff and you can cut it to suit
