You're welcome....fellow "Pegger"!

Good Day....eh!

There were no dash switches available when I bought my bike, and found this by accident looking through the accessory book.

I like to do my own wiring, this way, if there is any problem, I know how to trouble shoot if a problem pops up.

I think the switches are about $15 each.

I realize there are those who have no idea how to wire things as well. If you are educated in that area you can save a bundle. I was able to make up my own plug and play wire harness for my CD Cool Magic lights simply using spare stuff from my Harley stuff pile, only had to buy a switch. Did this for my '14 Limited as well.

That switch pack is plug and play. The $120 harness 71400105 CAN be used for that but it has lots of other applications as well... I got the $120 deal for adding separately controlled Fogs, but haven't decided if I want to use it yet.
I need just one switch on my 2016 FLHXS to wire my running lights. Will 69200172 give me everything I need or will I need extra parts? Thanks!

Ok I posted something about this the other day but got no response. I have a RG standard with blanks. Part 69200172 just looks to be the harness that connects under the left side cover. Is my bike already wired? do I just need that part ? What about the switches themselves. I just have blanks in there now. I am wanting to add some electrical accessories (not a fog light). I saw the 120 buck switch kit and thought that was nuts for a price. Help me out here.

Thats about all you can expect for under $4.00.

For even less the OP could have just stuck the wires up through and used a wire nut for about a penny. Hey, if it's all about cost...

Personally, I prefer the OEM look, but that's just me...

That part # is the switch pack for the aux lights for the batwings (sg) The harness is already zip tied to the blanks in the cover. Not sure if the RG has that harness as the aux lights don't fit the RG.
I would pull the cover and look for the harness.

Running lights? Do you mean Aux lights?

I added aux lights to my SG, as it doesn't come with them; whichever you're using, Aux or Fog lights, 69200172 is all you need. Your ECM is already set up for whatever you decide to put in there for the most part (just using one button) unless you're doing something fancy.

I bought the 67800366 Aux kit , and the $70.00 69200172 dash switch pack. You remove the existing blanks and install the new pack, and plugs right in, your wiring is already plugged into the existing stock blank pack. It's plug and play, your ECM already knows what to do.

I ended up adding Fog lights too, and just added another button to 69200172 for those. On this switch pack, the one active button it comes with is for aux lights. The middle button is wired to the accessory plug under left side cover. The 3rd can be for another accessory when you use the harness that comes with the $120.00 71400105 aux power switch kit. I could have done both with just the $120 kit but I hadn't decided to get Fogs at that point yet.

You'll want a dealer flash to the ECM if you want the aux lights to stay on while your headlight is in high beam.
