Default Help with Daymaker Foglight install on 2015 RGS

Does anyone have a clue where the "Four-way turn signal lamp connector (31) is under the fairing? I have the lights, harness, brackets and AUX switches installed and powered but for the life of me I can't figure out where to plug in the wiring harness to the bike itself. I'm starting to wonder if this can even be done off of the AUX switches. Nothing even remotely looks compatible under the fairing to snap-splice the harness into. The instructions call for the removal of the outer fairing and to connect the foglight wiring harness 69201109 into the
Four-way turn signal lamp connector (31). Connecting to either of the signal lamp wiring connectors doesn't work. I've tried every connector under the fairing that would fit and nothing works. The AUX switch wiring runs back under the tank to the two unconnected AUX busses under the seat. The wiring harnesses do not match up.

This post talked about the same issue but there was no follow-up

https://www.hdforums.com/forum/new-r...mp-wiring.html

What gives? Do I just need to come up with my own molex connector to the bus under the seat? The MC instructions for this stink on ice.

The harness plugs into the accessories connector under the left side cover.

I still don't see anything under the cover that's even close to a match to plug this harness in.

I could be wrong, but I believe you just need to remove the rubber plug from this connector.

Nah...it's not even close to matching up. I'm starting to think that I'm going to have to hard wire it myself. For what these things cost this is a disgrace.

It's actually the white connector above this grey connector. I think the OP doesn't have the correct adapter harness.

This is the adapter harness needed.

Mine was installed using this adapter. http://www.harley-davidson.com/store...ion-update-kit

I think the universal wiring kit was used because I didn't want it connected to my driving lamps. It did require some additional pins inserted. It uses a latching switch installed in the middle position of the left side console switch assembly. No BCM module programming was required.

Hope this helps.

I spoke with the dealer today and they really had no idea either. They've never installed these lights on a 2015 RGS. They were of the opinion the the BCM might need to be programmed to accept the lights. What nonsense. I think I'll buy that harness you used and just hard-wire it into the AUX connector under the seat. I know that will work.

Just came back from my local dealer who donated free diagnosis time because they wanted to know what they deal with these was as well. A BCM flash doesn't work. The only way according to them to make it work is to manually splice the foglight harness into the accessory leads under the seat. This is NOT plug and play as advertised. I'll write it all up with pictures next week.
