Default __ Non Helmet Headset __

On occasion I would like to have a headset without having to put my helmet on. Just wondering if anyone has tried these yet?
I picked up a set, just didn't get them yet.

Thanks

I, for one, would appreciate a review when you get them. I wear a half helmet and would like to know how well they work.

Thanks

I wearv a half helmet and tried these. Going 75 and got a call and it workrd great. I am hearing noise from the wind and my wife said that the call was clear, no noise. I could hear her without any interference from the wind.

I bought those and did not care for them. I tried both sets, the one in the helmet and the over the ear. Wind noise was bad and the in the helmet ones made both my wife and my ears very sore on trips. There is no substitute for the Harley ones. The speakers tuck in and the mic is much better for wind noise. If I answer the phone while riding the person on the other end cannot tell I am on the bike. Just mho

I use these (while wearing a 1/2 helmet) and they work good but I also developed a soreness behind my ear after wearing them for extended periods of time. I don't wear my headset often, mainly on longer rides...3+ hours. I would recommend them for the price and if you only plan on using them once in a while.

My wife has a half helmet and use these. They worked great - however, after some travel time. they made her ears sore.

My guess is they would be OK without the helmet - but not with a helmet.

Thanks guys, I do have my HD ones hidden in my helmet, they do work well. I use them when I wear my helmet, but I just wanted something to wear once in awhile when I didn't wear my helmet.

I bought and adapter and can use any computer/cell phone type headset. For my use I have a cheap wrap around microphone for the CB when I'm with a group and if I want headset sound I plug into my Sena's aux jack.

The adapter that I bought was from this eBay seller: http://www.ebay.com/usr/dtgiese.

If he doesn't have any listed for sale send him a direct message and he can tell you when he will have more done. I found him very responsive.

I tried these and thought they were awful. Definitely not that comfortable (sore ears eventually), voice commands didn't work as well, phone calls were terrible. The HD headsets are far superior - no one can even tell I'm on the highway if I talk on the phone. YMMV.

Just re-read the posts. Mine are the Harley behind the ears setup and they work great. After awhile, they do start hurting the back of the ears. I don't use them all of the time.
