I called Gary and asked him about that and he told me they didn't think that the gear would do anything...

I put a Andrews 57 in my 2012 103, using stock heads, stock header and S&S SPO's. It is not a bad cam. it's a good all-around cam.

After about 8000 miles I installed a set of S&S 551's with the easy start. I wanted the power band a little farther down low. I like the 551s better than the 57's.

With the stock 10 to 1 compression in the ultra limited the 57's maybe a little bit better. I think the 54 has a lower intake closing number making more torque earlier. Hence the recommendation for a big bike. You can see my reviews here:

I've been wondering about that +4 gear too. Curious if they say it doesn't do anything, why does it exist?

Maybe just doesn't do anything in this type of setup?

I don't know maybe just depends on the cam. I would think if you set it up so the 57 is coming a little bit earlier, it might work a little bit better. But I'm sure there's other dynamics that we is lay men and not cam designers do not know.

Any comments on the kuryakn TV-24d? I have a buddy that just installed this on his and likes it. Got great numbers to just under 100hp and 107tq

The intake close on that cam is like 42° so while it makes the torque and horsepower probably comes on a little bit later in the Powerband. probably really doesn't start to make power 3000 / 3500 rpm + unless of course you got a big inch motor

I ordered the Kuryakyn's they are somewhat similar to the 57h or the tw-555. After seeing a buddies dyno sheet with them I liked the power and where it landed. It does come on a little later but I did have the tw-222 in a different bike and i wanted to try something different. I did like the instant power from a standstill the the 222 gives but it dies off relatively quickly. I wanted something with more mid range and this one seemed decent for that and having been able to talk with someone who uses them was nice!

Well after a long wait I am not longer going the kury direction. I am thinking woods 777 and I can get a great map from fuel moto. Any thoughts on the 777 on a stage one 2015 SGS?

I run Andrews 64 in my SGS it's an amazing cam from about 1800-5000. Torque for days. The dump puts me at 98hp 108tq. That said like a true motor head I'm thinking about the woods 555 for the more aggressive profile they offer. It's really never enough for us.

I have the 57H and would highly recommend it. Good power and torque in the wetheads. I've got pretty good numbers but you need to look at the numbers that TNHeritage put up.
