new lifters? Cam bearings?

(Assuming the stockers are in good shape of course)

If so, which lifters? I looked on Woods' site & they say theirs are noisy at cold startup, not really appealing to me.

The motor has 4k on it.

Thanks.

If you are installing a cam that is not the same base circle of your stock cam you're going to need adjustable or perfect fit push rods made for that application.

Yes, on the inner cam bearings... always. They are really cheap.
If you don't have the tool, do a search in the classified section. Couple of guys rent them for 25-50 bucks.

S&S standards work well...new inner cam bearings, always when replacing a cam..
Which cam did you choose?

Pretty sure I'm going with the Andrews 57h. Seen lots of good reviews on it for a bagger, with a stage 1 wethead.

I read a lot of comments about Woods being noisy, but as with everything... some people love them, some not.

57 is a good stick....from your stage 1 with the Rushmore cam you may feel it to be a little soft on the bottom...to really optimize the 57 head work & a compression bump would be ideal...& then I would go to the 54, better driveabilty IMO... Andrews 48 would be the closest "bolt in" comparison to the Rushmore cam plus carry a little further to the right... All that said,,, a great tune is key which ever you decide.
