Default KST 10" Mayhem bars installed on 14 Street glide special.

I just installed the KST 10" bars on my 14 SGS and I like them. A huge thanks to
bpd138 and his walk through install. You won't need a book with his help. The only things I would add are:
Get the Namz control wire extensions. I got the 8" and they just barely reach.
Before you take the pins out of the plug of the TBW plug, cut the protective covering back some so you have more play in the wires.
When removing the ignition switch cover, move the switch all the way to accessory setting so it's flat. This makes space to remove the cover.

Not a bad job and we'll worth the savings!

I really like those. I know most people here say "go big" when it comes to bars, but riding up here in the NW, I like a little wind protection. Were these back ordered or did they arrive pretty quick after you ordered them?

Damn I want my bars now. Some say you dont need to do anything with the wires and you and others say you need extensions. Is it just the way they are routed?

Questions. Im a shorter rider of a 14 SGS (5-8). How much additional pull back did it give vs. stock. I need about 2" to be really comfortable. And how much clearance do you have between the bars and the tank at full lock?

Thank Jim

I had my local indie shop do it. They extended the wires and changed the clutch cable. If not it would have been to stretched for my taste and lessens the chance of anything going wrong. Since stock bars are 8 inch I think they went plus 4 or 8 on the wires and clutch cable. You could go with the namz extensions.

@Jim the plenty of clearance. Your other question I wouldn't know but you can always move the bars back from the fairing I'm 5'11 with long arms. If you get them play around with them at different angles.
